Elevator pitch

We live in an age of customization and instant gratification.  We go to places like Chipotle and Blaze where we can build our own order and get exactly what we want within minutes.  We have plenty of lunch and dinner options but are lacking a breakfast place, especially one that goes beyond the typical breakfast hours.  Stacked is a concept that I have developed for a customizable restaurant in which you pick your bases, toppings, and sauces for various breakfast dishes and ultimately build your own platter.   This restaurant would be located in Gainesville, preferably downtown so that it is a trendy setting for brunch and a cool place to hangout after going to local bars or clubs.  Stacked will be open 24 hours and which will be especially convenient to those that need a quick bite before class, or a late snack after studying or hanging with friends. The restaurant will go above and beyond to exceed customer expectations through healthy alternatives such as a juice bar as well as unhealthy snacks such as double chocolate chip pancakes and chocolate sauces.  The possibilities are endless and I am confident that Stacked will bring the energy and food that Gainesville truly needs to satisfy its young adult residents.

  1. I thought you did a great job with your elevator pitch! You provided a lot of information in a short amount of time (the basic idea of your business, what makes it different from existing competitors, hours of operation, etc.). I noticed that you mentioned that Stacked would offer "unhealthy" options, which, while waffles and pancakes aren't necessarily healthy, marketing them as a negative could drive away your customers. Other than that, you spoke with confidence and clarity.

  2. Hey Emily,
You had a lot of good information in your elevator pitch. I think keeping eye contact and maybe alternating your pitch more would keep your audience engaged. Adding a statistic in the beginning as well would be cool to hear such as how many people say their favorite food is breakfast food. Overall, I enjoyed your pitch and love your idea!

  3. I really liked how you started off by discussing an overall trend in our generation regarding instant gratification. I believe this is one of the reasons that your opportunity exists. Not only is there not a restaurant fulfilling this need, but the demand for this type of restaurant is growing. I think your demeanor and confidence was very professional. The only complaint that I have is your lack of eye contact with the camera. This is an important factor when presenting someone with your business idea because eye contact helps them make a connection to you and your ideas.
